The Scammer’s Return

Could this be the most evil scam of all. Watch closely to learn of the triple-play of scammers in this offer that’s all over the Internet. In today’s case, we’d like to thank ABC News for turning a blind eye to this scam. I guess it’s hard to say no to that ad revenue. Oh yes, the FTC says “honest companies” like ABC News aren’t responsible for the actions of these scammers. Thanks guys in Washington for encouraging this crap. Shame on you.

First of all, when leaving a comment, why is it “required” that I leave my email
    address? Let me guess…

{legitimate} way to grow your email list and [exploit] emails?

Clarify this real scam as you call it

Prove this is a scam, prove ABCnews owns the website and its content
and I would say you have a multi-million dollar lawsuite.

OMG, thanks for this video, taking your time, i never hardly review the fine print. I sure will now.

    Deor Dr. Kilstein,
your crusade against the scammers who make the internet a playground of a dishonest, unethical, ruthless, inhuman (…..list doesn´t end here) greedy bunch is really long overdue and deserves support from all genuinely honest people. You have my support in any case and I hope I can contribute to The Cause. Sadly I must report that I also have fallen into the trap some time ago, when I subscribed to a software firm with hidden membership of two years at about 150 $ per year. They even went to the extent of threatening me with a debt collecting agency (the ones with a wide chest and bnig muscled arms). Fortunately I had support from a consumer preotection agency and got out of it.
The whole experience has caused some thoughts to come up in my mind:
These happenings in the internet are not limited to the internet alone. I think, that wherever large amounts of money are involved, with absolute certainty the greedy bunch are around to skim the cream off.
Now were was recently a lot of talk about enormous amounts of money?
Right, “The Bailout”. And where was this money supposed to come from? Right again, the “taxpayer”. US. Now my guess is, that a large portion of these zillions of $, €, pounds and Yen are going to end up in the coffres of a few. And these few are not the ones who should have it.
I can´t tell you all my thoughts because I know your time is valuable. I will post my thoughts however in blogs and social media like twitter, myspace, facebook and so on. Maybe there will be a reaction of the sheep about to be shorn.
    Sending you my best wishes
    Sherab

    Hi Dr. Kilstein,

Keep up the good work, cant believe so many folks fall for this crap

    Your on the case Sir.

  6. Delia Says:

Andrew, you are required on virtually every blog to enter your email address. Second, no, you can not harvest these emails.
Clarify this is a scam? Where were your eyes during the video? Prove this was on ABC news? Pull your head out and go look for yourself.

Hey there I get to be the first commenter in the World Wide Web of Scammers today. Not much to add to the age-old scams that have been going on for decades….. How long did that ad run that claimed to be a Miracle Hair Growing formula that would grow out your Hair in just 6 weeks!

Or the nail growing formula so your fingernails would grow inches overnight and be so tough they wouldn’t break, peel or crack. Suntans were overnight sensations too — every summer! People can tell these are phony ads – Big Companies ripping people off is a normal occurrence by the time you reach 25…it’s the trusted Marketers, like yourself, that really do the most damage mentally.

If someone like YOU turned out to be a 2-bit con artist, I can’t even imagine how many broken people would be left behind wondering what THEY did wrong, why THEY were so stupid, and not knowing the answers makes the future look very dim. Crimes of trust are more damaging than any amount of money could ever be.

That’s the reason so many won’t see a scam even after they see irregular things going on
that point to the obvious…they cannot face the real loss so they willingly pay more money for more time …. they keep hoping for a miracle. They will forgive without a second thought if there is still hope. Those guys are the real stupid ones – they will end up with so little when their time comes – and it always does. That’s what keeps me smiling with every scam that goes by.

    Harlan,

Great analysis. Just goes to show how many vulnerable souls are out there that make it profitable to run that sort of operation.

Also, hopefully everyone will notice how MUCH info you pulled out of the Terms & Conditions section about extra charges and such. If EVERYONE would read those, (and UNDERSTAND them), there would not be so much profit in this sort of operation. At least they are being honest in that one section (albeit not up front.)

  11. Robert Says:

Thanks for showing how some people use the fine print to mislead and cause harm. I have a new product which I truly believe will be a help to a lot of people. Unfortunately, it is sites like those you have outlined recently that have given my backers pause when it comes to online sales.
Please keep up your crusade of cleaning up the web by revealing the scams you find.

  12. Brett T. Smith Says:

Hey Harlan – dang… I can’t beleive that they are using a fitness magazine as part of their monthly continuity. Crazy stuff you are finding my man!

    ~Brett

  13. Fitness Daddy Says:

Wow Harlan, I’d heard of a teeth whitening scam but this is the first time I’ve seen it exposed. Thanks for exposing these thieves.

  14. G. a Wealthy Affiliate Says:

    Hi Harlan

you do p…ss off many CPA marketers I guess. Well done.

What stands out is that each of the 3 markets you mention has the SAME site design, newspaper like.

Is that made to “trick” the visitor, getting credibility ? Course it is.

Over curiosity they make a CPZ commission.

While this isn’t a bad thing from a marketers point of view, the enrolling of a free trial into a automatically charging membership fee is the scam here. People are forced to pay as many can’t cancel the charge even if they want so. Even worse here where you get a fitness magazine signup without even knowing that magazine !?

Each marketer knows the scams you mention and the ones which are furious are the ones which do make money with it.

Again, good work and Heads up to the honest marketers.

    G.

  15. Keith Says:

As I stated in my first response to your scam exposes, I was a victim of this scam and had to cancel the card in order to get it stopped. Bank caught the first few but then let one slip through which made me have to cancel the card itself. Good work. Keep them coming.

As for Andrew, either he’s part of the system or a very angry guy, lol. I can prove it is a scam as I got scammed. I’m sitting up here as I type with a little tube of Dazzle White. Want to buy it off me? Half price. By the way, after you apply, it wants you to keep smiling for 15 minutes.

  16. Jim Van Honest Says:

    Great Work Doctor K!

Your “scams exposed” serious is great,
very entertaining, and really opens my eyes.

    But now I’m stuck!

My teeth are still yellow, I’m still broke,
    and my Insiders-Puppy-Secrets-Ebook-Success
    hasn’t arrived yet!

To Andrew, you obviously must be a scumbag scammer, why else would you be braying about inconsequential BS? You also must be illiterate, if you were paying attention, email addys will not be published.

To add to your faults Andrew, you are deaf and blind as the video plainly exposes the scams. What do you need Andrew? A two by four upside your rock hard skull?

Dr. Kilstein, I applaud your efforts to get these SOB’s, it is hard enough to try to run an online business without these lowlife morons running roughshod all over the Interenet.

It’s obvious that the Andrews’ of the world are hit and run one shot horse manure, this coward will not come back and respond as a responsible adult.

The more we honest and ethical internet marketers can do to expose the scam vermin, the better it will be for all of us trying to make money online.

Thank you Dr. Kilstein, my heartfelt appreciation for your courageous efforts!

    Hmmm…hitsquad to target scammers anyone?….LOL!….

  18. Roger Says:

    @Andrew / @Delia

Actually Delia, The addresses can be harvested, just not by anyone but the site owner. Which MIGHT be what Andrew meant.

Actually Andrew, one OTHER reason for collecting email addresses would be in case he got sued for libelous or defamatory statements made in comments on his blog, as you would then have some idea of who to actually go after.
Another reason would be to send you notifications of additional comments on the post

@Harlan. The video works for me on YouTube, but not here.
Win7, IE 8, but it is the video player itself reporting an error.

  19. Kenneth young Says:

I love the new rulings coming down from FTC on makers of these business opportunities as they will now have to disclose truthful expectations on how well a program is expected to work. No more of this hiding behind the skirts of the disclaimer clause.

    Harlan
    Honest business ?
    You have no chance.
The rules makers are partnering with “the other site” . Not always intentionally,
they don’t have teeth to implement the law.
Dishonest are on top and you don’t know neither who they are nor how many.
Your video is nice for us and a joke for them…

Sound like some stepped on Andrews’ toes…. ehe ehe whaaaaaaah!!!!

It’s only a matter of time for these lowlifes to be exposed.

We live in a world that revolves, and pretty soon the sea of life will wash
up these ……. scammers so they can be disposed of with the rest of garbage.

    Only a matter of time!!

  25. Eddie Braveheart Says:

Probably a losing battle. Evil always wins.

  26. Lucille Says:

Thank you Dr. Kilstein for exposing these Crooks!!! I have been Scammed out of $25,000.00 on the Internet. I know it is partly my own fault, but I was desperate. My Husband had been Ill for 2 years and we were losing our New Home to Forclosure. We are both on Disability Social Security for years. I kept buying into their Scams of promising me that I could make Thousands a Day or Month. The most I have ever made is $11.54, and that was only one time.
Keep up the good work and maybe some day those Scammers will go away.

  27. Selif Says:

@Eddie Braveheart Evil may get away with a lot but that’s all the more reason for Good to do something other than sit on it’s hands doing nothing because all it takes for Evil to win is for Good to do nothing.
